Group discussion with Dr. Dorninger

Hi Reader,

One of the hardest parts of navigating a chronic illness is knowing that something is wrong in your body, but not having clear answers.

Blood labs, stool tests, and even MRIs can be very useful in identifying concerning patterns and getting on the right treatment path. But oftentimes, questions remain…

Why am I still so tired despite doing all the things? Is there an infection that we’ve missed? Is PTSD holding me back? Am I reacting to a new biotoxin? Is my body ready to start VIP?

You’ve probably heard of the GENIE test, which is a newer way of looking “upstream” at our physiology, based on the field of gene expression or epigenetics. It can give us a much more precise look at things that inhibit recovery, and allows the Shoemaker Protocol to be highly personalized to our unique situation. Super cool!

You may have also heard that specific patterns of gene expression have recently been identified, using GENIE technology, that serve as very early markers for neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease. This can certainly feel scary or intimidating, but since neurodegenerative diseases do show a correlation with specific biotoxin exposures, suggesting opportunities for prevention or reversal, this knowledge can also be powerfully motivating.

If you’re eager to better understand how the GENIE works, if it might be a good test for you to consider, and what some of the newest updates are (such as “triple positives” for early detection of Parkinson’s Disease), then I have good news for you!

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that on Tuesday, October 29th, from 1:30–3:00 pm ET, Dr. Eric Dorninger will be joining me and premium members of the CIRS Healing Collective to discuss all the latest updates on the GENIE test, including how it can be used to personalize the Shoemaker Protocol.

Dr. Dorninger is a true pioneer in the world of CIRS and chronic illness. He is a highly regarded Shoemaker-Certified clinician, naturopathic doctor, licensed acupuncturist, and co-founder of CIRSx. He has over a decade of experience treating people with complex chronic illness and has dedicated his life to finding root causes.

If you’ve been curious about what your GENIE results really mean or how this test can guide your health journey more precisely, this is your opportunity! Dr. Dorninger will bring clinical insight, deep compassion, and likely a lot of humor to a topic that can often feel confusing or overwhelming.

This session is part of our exclusive expert guest series for Premium CHC Members. If you’ve never been a premium CHC member, grab a free 30-day trial here to check it out. Come see what we’re all about!

I created the CIRS Healing Collective to be a soft landing place for those navigating the often-twisty road of chronic inflammatory illness. What began as a handful of us on Zoom back in 2020 has blossomed into a truly beautiful global community - still intimate, always supportive, always educational, and never lacking in heart.

I hope you’ll join us for this important and illuminating conversation next week. Bring your GENIE questions, your curiosity, and your wonderful selves.

Hi Reader, If you’ve lived with CIRS for any length of time, you know it’s not just a medical condition. It’s a full-body, full-life experience that can feel deeply disorienting. The endless searching for answers. The disbelief from doctors or loved ones. The fear that your environment itself isn’t safe. The loss of your home, personal belongings, finances, and ability to work. The isolation that seeps in when you realize your favorite places may not be safe, your friends don’t understand,...

Hi Reader, In the upcoming month, our Salugenex theme invites you to marinate in the good. So often, our days rush by and even our happiest moments fade before we’ve fully felt them. But when we pause to truly savor a positive emotion or experience for just thirty seconds, we can profoundly influence our well-being. Savoring is a practice that also optimizes our heart rate variability and coherence, or union of body, mind and heart, for enhanced resilience and performance. As a certified...

Hi Reader, If you had hoped to join the Equipped to Overcome CIRS (ETOC) live cohort that started earlier this month but didn’t quite make it (whether the timing wasn’t right, the price felt out of reach, or the idea of group learning felt intimidating) I completely understand. Life is full, and healing is already a lot. That’s exactly why I created a self-paced version of this program (aka Complete CIRS Empowerment Kit), so you can still access everything I teach in the live cohort, on your...
